Who we are
Beattie Beauty is the controller responsible for the personal information collected through this website. To contact us about privacy, please use our Contact page and write “Privacy request” in your message.
Information we collect
When you book an appointment or send an enquiry, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, preferred date, appointment time, location, party size and notes about your requested makeup service.
Please do not include medical information or other sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to provide the service safely.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, check availability, arrange and manage appointments, communicate service information and maintain appropriate business records.
Our lawful basis is normally taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing our contract with you and our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the business. Where the law requires us to keep particular records, we process them to meet that legal obligation.
Who receives your information
Our website, authentication, database and image storage are provided by Supabase. Hosting and other technical providers may also process limited information on our behalf. We only use providers needed to operate the website and manage your request.
We do not sell personal information. We do not collect payment card or bank details through this website.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on the provider’s appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep information
We normally keep booking and enquiry records for up to 24 months after the appointment or last meaningful contact. We may keep information for longer where it is needed for legal, tax, insurance or dispute purposes. Information that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your information. You may also have the right to object or receive a portable copy. Contact us if you wish to exercise a right.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how we use your information. Visit ico.org.uk for details.
Cookies and security
The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Supabase authentication uses strictly necessary session storage when the owner signs in to the private admin area. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always appear on this page.
